As the school year draws to a close and summer begins, it’s easy to put September out of mind. But this quieter moment between terms is actually the ideal time to reflect on your child’s activities — and to plan ahead with calm and clarity.
Whether you’re considering violin lessons, recorder lessons, or a first musical experience through our Music Discovery program, enrolling early ensures your child enters the 2025–2026 school year with joy, rhythm, and confidence.
Music lessons support your child’s development
Enrolling your child in music lessons isn’t just about learning an instrument — it actively supports many areas of development. Music education strengthens memory, improves focus and coordination, and helps children build emotional awareness and self-confidence.
Violin and recorder lessons are ideal for developing fine motor skills, concentration, and musical expression. Meanwhile, Music Discovery (for ages 4–7) introduces rhythm, sound, and group interaction through games, songs, and exploration — building a joyful foundation for future learning.

Why May and June are the perfect time to register
By the end of the school year, families often have the space to reflect and plan more intentionally. Registering during the summer (or slightly before) ensures your child has a spot in our small-group or one-on-one lessons — which are limited in size to ensure quality and personal attention.
At NiQo Music School in Dübendorf (Zurich), lessons are available in English, French, or German, and always tailored to your child’s rhythm, interests, and personality.
