NiQo’s Musical Journey
Welcome to “NiQo’s Musical Journey” – a personal glimpse into the path that led me to offer heartfelt violin lessons in Zurich. From classical training in France to creative adventures across musical genres, my story reflects a lifelong passion for music and sharing it with others. If you’re curious about the roots and spirit behind my violin lessons in Zurich, this page is where it all begins.
A Lifelong Relationship with Music
Music has always been part of my world. I began learning the violin at a young age and trained for ten years at the Conservatoire de Metz. There, I received a solid grounding in both theory and practice—developing skills in violin technique, music theory, and ear training. I played in student orchestras and chamber music ensembles, learning not only to perform but also to listen, connect, and blend within a group.
These early years gave me a strong classical foundation and an immense respect for the great composers who move the soul across time and space—Dvořák, Bach, Vivaldi. Their works have shaped my musical sensitivity and continue to inspire me today.
From Classical to Rock and Beyond
As a teenager, my love for music expanded beyond the classical world. I picked up the electric bass and founded a rock band with friends. We composed our own songs while also covering bands like Scorpions, Green Day, and Aerosmith. These experiences taught me how to create as a team, explore new sounds, and connect with an audience through energy and authenticity.
Later, we evolved our style to include acoustic instruments like guitar, flute, and violin. We explored traditional influences from Irish folk, flamenco, and gypsy music, weaving them into our compositions. Music became a space of freedom and cultural dialogue. I even designed my own acoustic guitar, lovingly handcrafted by a friend—a symbol of the deep connection between creativity and craft.
Teaching music with Heart and Intuition
Teaching the violin today is a natural extension of this lifelong journey. I don’t just teach music—I share a way of experiencing the world. My lessons are rooted in solid technique and theory, but they are also infused with listening, intuition, and presence.
Each student is unique. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced player, I tailor the lessons to suit your rhythm, interests, and goals. I create a warm and encouraging space where music becomes a path of self-expression and confidence.
A Holistic Approach to Music Education
At NiQo Music School, I see music as a sacred moment—a way to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Through violin lessons, musical discovery workshops for children, and support for school music programs, I aim to make music accessible and meaningful for everyone.
I believe music is not only an art form but also a gateway to imagination, identity, and emotional balance. It’s a universal language that brings us back to ourselves and connects us to others.
